President – Robert Beemer

Robert Beemer is the principal owner of Combined Insurance Agencies, Inc. and is a lifelong resident of southwest Michigan. Bob earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan. He is past president of SW Michigan Life Underwriters Association and has nearly 30 years of experience in the insurance business.

Bob enjoys the insurance business. “We rebuild homes and businesses. We even rebuild entire communities in a natural disaster. Insurance pays medical bills for everything from an auto accident to brain cancer. We pay legal expenses, and we replace lost income due to disability and death. Insurance allows people to continue with their lives when bad things happen. It really is a wonderful product and a great industry, that’s why I enjoy my work.”

Bob is a founding member and President of the DCOSA Land Conservancy. He is also active in township and homeowner’s association activities. Bob has been married to Janet for 23 years and they have three children.

Vice President – Bruce Owen

Co-owner Bruce Owen has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He specializes in personal and commercial lines, as well as life insurance. His favorite part of being an agent is the different personalities he works with day in and day out. As he states, “People are so interesting and so different. I may be talking to an 80 year old in the morning and an 18 year old in the afternoon and I enjoy talking to both and hearing their stories. I love talking with clients and figuring out a way to help make their lives better and safer.”

Bruce is a proud graduate of Coloma High School and has been the announcer for Coloma High School football since 1982. He is a long time member of the Lions Club and has three grown daughters and one grandson and is happily married to Kate.

Agent – Tom Landis

Tom Landis lived in the Chicago suburbs until he moved to Sister Lakes in 1976. He holds a Bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign. He has over 23 years of experience as an agent in personal and commercial lines of insurance. Tom joined the CIA team in 1989. His favorite aspect of being an insurance agent is educating clients about insurance. He wants his customers to learn that “insurance is not as complicated as people assume.”

Tom is currently a Trustee of Keeler Township and a member of various township boards and commissions. He has been married to Deb for over 13 years and enjoys golfing, biking and working out.

Agent – Tony Ventimiglia

Tony Ventimiglia grew up in the south Chicago suburb of Oak Forest, IL. He lived in Dallas, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona before moving to southwest Michigan in 2006. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Eastern Illinois University with a minor in Business Administration. He is past president of the local chapter of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors). He has been an insurance agent since 2006, when he joined the CIA team. Tony specializes in employer-sponsored and individual health, life, disability and long term care insurance. If he could offer a piece of advice to others it would be “Please make sure you follow the golden rule of insurance…buy it BEFORE you need it. Otherwise, you may not qualify or it will be much more expensive.”

Tony and Anne have been married since 2000 and have two children. He is a PADI certified scuba diver, and he enjoys mountain biking, volleyball, snow skiing, racquetball as well as hiking.


Agent – Casey Russell

Casey Russell grew up in Stevensville and moved back to the area in 2006. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management with a minor in Art from Central Michigan University in 2005. She also completed a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Siena Heights University in 2012. She is CIA’s newest agent and is focusing on Home, Auto and Business. Casey is active in the community as an original member of the BNI Leads at Lunch group as well as a serving on the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She is also on the Young Agents Council, part of the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents.

Casey enjoys coaching gymnastics which she has done for over 15 years and she is also an avid pool player. She enjoys the beach in the summer, skiing in the winter, and spending time with family and friends.
